Last updated: 21 July 2026
1. About GeoVault
GeoVault is operated by Bridgeporth Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 07921496. Bridgeporth Ltd trades under the name Metatek Group.
These terms govern access to the GeoVault website and hosted service. GeoVault is intended for business users and is not offered as a consumer service.
If your organisation has a separate licence, order form or customer agreement covering GeoVault or survey data, that agreement takes precedence where it conflicts with these terms.
2. Acceptance
By accessing GeoVault, accepting an invitation or downloading content, you agree to these terms. If you use GeoVault for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
If you do not agree, do not use GeoVault.
3. Accounts and organisational access
You must:
- provide accurate account information;
- keep your credentials secure;
- use only the account assigned to you;
- notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access; and
- comply with your organisation’s security and acceptable-use requirements.
Access may depend on your organisation membership, role and current survey entitlements. You must not access another organisation’s account or information.
4. Licensed survey information
GeoVault may contain public information, restricted information and proprietary survey files.
Your right to access or download material is limited to the permissions and entitlements assigned to your account and organisation. Access through GeoVault does not transfer ownership or grant additional rights in any survey, dataset, document or intellectual property.
Downloaded material remains subject to the applicable customer agreement, data licence, confidentiality obligations and any restrictions supplied with it.
Unless expressly authorised, you must not:
- share restricted files, credentials or temporary download links;
- publish, resell, sublicense or redistribute licensed content;
- attempt to bypass access controls or obtain unlicensed material;
- use automated tools to scrape or systematically extract GeoVault content;
- reverse engineer or interfere with the service;
- introduce malicious code or disrupt availability; or
- use GeoVault or its content unlawfully.
5. Intellectual property
GeoVault, its software, design, branding and supporting material are owned by Bridgeporth or its licensors.
Survey data and documents may be owned by Bridgeporth, its clients or other licensors. Nothing in these terms changes that ownership.
6. Accuracy and availability
We aim to keep GeoVault accurate, secure and available, but catalogue descriptions, map boundaries and supporting metadata may be incomplete, approximate or subject to change.
GeoVault content should not be treated as professional, legal, navigational, engineering or investment advice. You are responsible for assessing whether material is suitable for your intended use.
We may maintain, modify, suspend or withdraw parts of the service when reasonably necessary.
7. Confidentiality and security
Restricted GeoVault material must be treated as confidential unless its owner has authorised public disclosure.
We may monitor and record access to protect licensed information, investigate security incidents, enforce entitlements and comply with contractual or legal obligations.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where:
- an account or organisation is no longer authorised;
- a licence or customer agreement expires;
- we reasonably suspect misuse or a security risk;
- these terms have been breached; or
- suspension is required by law or by the owner of licensed information.
Termination does not remove restrictions that continue to apply to previously downloaded material.
9. Privacy
Our use of personal information is explained in the GeoVault Privacy Notice.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Where GeoVault is supplied under a customer agreement, liability is governed by that agreement.
To the extent permitted by law, GeoVault is not liable under these website terms for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss arising from reliance on catalogue descriptions or approximate map information.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any different provision in an applicable customer agreement.
